NPE - Pagination Whole Page
Below I'll explain how pagination works. If you have list='10' (which is the default) for example but have 12 posts it will break them in to two pages. 10 on the first page and 2 on the second page. As your list of posts continues to grow the plugin will automatically create new pages of 10 listings each.
Whole Page Refresh
Since I have only four posts as of now I'm going to include the argument list='2' in our basic setup.
[netsposts list='2' paginate='true']
This particular code is great for archive pages as it refreshes the page every time you click on the next page link. The next example is if you don't want to refresh the page but only refresh the content. Like if you have a news type setup and multiple instances of the plugin you use this type. When you click on the next page you'll see the difference.
You will need to add both add the shortcode_id and load_posts_dynamically attribute so the shortcode will be thus:
[netsposts shortcode_id='dynamic-paginate-list' list='2' paginate='true' load_posts_dynamically='true']
When you click on the first example the link changes as you can see below:
But when you click on the second example the page remains:
Note: It is important to know that archive type pages should use the first example because pagination is important and they will be indexed as separate pages. The second example is if you have a list of latest articles and you just want to show them off a little at a time. Also in the second example you must use the argument shortcode_id= because the shortcode needs to know which shortcode to refresh if you have multiple instances on the same page. You can not assign an ID twice on the same page. Not just because of my plugin but because it's also bad html and all browsers will flag you for it.
You can use an ID twice on different pages but only once on the same page.
